Welcome to The Nibbler by me, Jill Myer, a bi-weekly brief focusing on art, inspiration, creativity, snacks, and joy.
Hello, my Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Clusters
Happy Tuesday!
I am delighted to share with you a sneaky little peek of a project I collaborated on with Schreiner’s Iris Gardens to celebrate their 100th Anniversary!
The exclusive line of cards, mini-cards, and stickers will debut in the Schreiner’s Gift Shop on Memorial Day weekend during the Iris Festival at the Schreiner’s Iris Gardens.

I am My Own Best Company
Cracking myself up.
I recently updated my “About Me” page on my website after learning more about SEO (search engine optimization). I am cackling with pride at the fun I had while drafting the text while engaging in something as Saltine Cracker dry and tasteless as SEO.
Behold!
About:
Jill Myer: Whimsical Artist & Illustrator Creating Colorful, Narrative-Driven Art
Jill Myer, an eight-year-old child trapped in the body of a middle-aged woman, creates vibrant fine art and tells engaging visual stories through her illustrations.
Her work, a distinctive blend of contemporary fine art and whimsical illustration, is characterized by irreverent humor, clever wit, and bright color palettes.
Her passion for all things silly, whimsical, and cheerful shines through her creative portfolio, appealing to adults and children alike.
If Jill were a color, she would be sunshine yellow.
If Jill were an animal, she would be a unicorn with chronic body odor.

MY CURRENT FAVORITE SNACK
Green grapes are back in season!
Grapes are my favorite: sweet, crisp, crunchy, and mouth-bursty, they travel well and require very little prep work! They are a 10/10 of snackable foods.
✨GLIMMER HUNTING✨
The shadows and the misty morning light on the trail the other day were borderline magical!

Also, this absolute cheeseball has discovered the guest bedroom.
I have no idea what prompted this discovery or when the couch became unsuitable for The Princess, but I suspect if I put a pea under the mattress, she would be truly disgruntled.
Look at that little grin—she knows! She also fluffed the covers—that bed was made before her expedition into this space.
IN MY STUDIO
I took this photo three years ago, and it has sat in my “Inspo Folder” ever since. This last weekend, I decided to see what I could do with it - the answer, so far, has been to waste a lot of time and paint.
Which is an unfair statement. I’m learning, and learning is sometimes frustrating and full of fuckery.
I’m working with an entirely new color palette and trying to achieve a new effect.
It has so much potential, but at the moment, it feels like this painting’s potential to end up at the bottom of the trash can, covered in dirty rags and candy wrappers, is extra high. Send snacks!

Today’s Nibbler Mini Update is: COMING SOON
Bubbles and Dots - A Vacation for my Brain!
These cards, big and small, and some original works, will drop into my shop in precisely two weeks, so get your wallets ready!
If you’ve been in the gallery recently, you will have seen a sample of these, but I’ve updated the images, and I’m excited to let these fun, flirty bubbles and dots dance their way into your correspondence.
In the next issue of The Nibbler, I will also discuss how Bubbles and Dots came to be in nauseating detail.

Until next time!!
