Mighty Masking Fluid Debacle of 2023™️
I can’t be the only one out here spinning tears into gold!
Welcome to The Nibbler by me, Jill Myer, a bi-weekly brief focusing on art, inspiration, creativity, snacks, and joy.
Good morning, Nibblers!
Happy Pre-Turkey Tuesday!
I hope your forks are sharpened, and your clap-backs are ready for when your Drunkle starts in on his specific brand of BS.
I also hope that a green bean casserole is stalking you from across the kitchen and that you have a secret emotional support pie stashed in the back of the pantry for emergencies.
We’ve got this!!

Mighty Masking Fluid Debacle of 2023™️
….Enter this fantastic invention - Masking Fluid.
Masking fluid is a glue-like substance that you apply to your paper. Once it dries, you can paint your picture.
Then, a special rubber cement erasure removes the solid masking “fluid” that has become rubbery and goober-y.
It’s a brilliant concept!
Life has never been easier!
Especially with newer bottle designs that allow the artist to draw feather-weight lines rather than globbing it on with a toothpick or the dried-up husk of an old paintbrush.

MY FAVORITE SNACK
Sourdough Crackers!
Hehehee, I’m not even joking.
I am still very stuck on sourdough
(obviously).
When you feed your starter or “mother,” a portion must be discarded because otherwise, there would be too much bulk.
But that feels super wasteful, so there are hundreds of thousands of recipes for using the discard.
I recently tried these crackers by The Little Spoon Farm, and they were so good!!
Yeah, that’s butter residue. They are SO GOOD!!
TODAY I LEARNED
This book has a sequel, and I can get it NOW!
I enjoyed the book so much.
The world-building and character development were phenomenal.
I would pay a lot of money to visit the town in this book.
The story was delightful and charming, with a hint of a queer love interest.I’m seriously considering ordering I have ordered the book to be shipped directly to my in-law’s house, so it’s waiting there for me when I arrive.
SHOP
I’m out of town until December 12th, so I’m closing my shop for two weeks next Monday.
